The New York Times Book Review recently declared that Barbara Ensor's "expressive collage cutouts have tons of charm." And it was frequently at Brooklyn Artists Gym that Ensor labored over the silhouette imagery for both of her books---- Thumbelina Tiny Runaway Bride and Cinderella (As If You DIdn't Already Know the Story). Both books are published by Schwartz & Wade, an imprint of Random House Children's Books and have been described as “snappy” “charming,” “mature” and “divine” by The Wichita Eagle, Vanity Fair, the Washington Post and The New York Times. A former staff writer for New York Magazine, Ms Ensor received a National Endowment for the Arts grant for work in ceramics and currently teaches clay animation.
