Curate a show at BAG
The BAG Gallery is available to curators as an Exhibition Space Rental or to use as a guest through the gallery’s Guest Curator Exhibition Program (Feb. 1st deadline). Both options require submitting a BAG Curatorial Proposal. Exhibition Space Rental proposals are accepted on a rolling basis and dates are scheduled with the gallery after review. The Guest Curator Exhibition Program proposals deadline is February 1st, 2012. After the selection process, recipients of the Guest Curator Exhibition schedule a two-to-three week exhibition with the gallery for 2012.
The BAG Gallery is a beautiful 850 sq. ft. space in the up and coming Gowanus area of Brooklyn, just across the street from the Bell House music venue and bar. The gallery space is priced to make it possible for the emerging artist or curator to mount a show at an affordable rate. An Exhibition Space Rental is $1000 for one week plus an opening reception, any additional weeks after that are $1000. We take no commission on any sales made during an Exhibition Space Rental. Guest Curator Exhibition Program recipients do not pay rent for the space, but they do pay the gallery 30% commission on artwork sold.
