Intro to Block Printing
Instructors: Katerina Lanfranco katerinalanfranco.com (Wednesday workshops),a NYC based artist, who shows her mixed media artwork internationally and teaches studio art at the MoMA, Fordham University, and LIM College in addition to her workshop at BAG.
AND Daniele Genadry danielegenadry.com (Saturday workshops), a NYC based artist who shows her artwork internationally.

Learn the ancient technique of block printing and go home with a whole new skill to continue exploring on your own! In this class we will learn how to carve and print by hand from our own hand carved rubber and linoleum blocks, following the traditional form of printmaking.

Come prepared to learn, explore, and have fun with the endless possibilities of printmaking. Bring your ideas, drawings, or other resources, or just come as you are, ready to experiment and enjoy. By the end of the session, participants will go home with the basic tools and resources to continue exploring and making prints at home.

No experience necessary; this class is particularly geared towards those who would not necessarily consider themselves artists, but want to learn a new skill and be surprised by how they can make beautiful art.
