Membership
Brooklyn Artists Gym offers four kinds of membership:
Open Studio Membership — $199.
Open Studio Members have 24/7 access to the 4000 square foot studio. There’s also:
- Personal drying rack
- Your own locker for art supplies
- Slop sink
- Kitchenette
- Lounge
- Library
- Wi-fi
- Figure drawing
- Four group shows in the gallery each year
Semi-Private Studio Membership — $319 and up.
This membership gives you a space about 11 feet by 11 feet where you can leave your set-ups and your stuff. There are generally 3 walls or 2 walls and a window. You supply your own equipment such as tables and easels and chairs. But you still get full use of BAG’s sinks, kitchenette, library, lounge, wi-fi, gallery and group shows.
Full Studio Membership — $499.
This membership gives you a space about 11 feet by 11 feet where you can leave your set-ups and your stuff AND access to the 4000 square foot studio. You get full use of BAG’s sinks, kitchenette, library, lounge, wi-fi, gallery and group shows as well as free workshops and figure drawing.
Please note: studio spaces may be rented – please check with the office for availability. Although we tried our best to make this floorplan accurate, we can’t promise it’s perfect to the last inch.
The fine print:
There is a $35 application fee and a $20 key-code fee (each member has their own personal key-code). We take first and last month’s membership fee, and one month damage deposit which is returned at the end of the membership. If a member starts in the middle of the month, the first month is pro-rated. BAG requires a 30-day written notice of termination of membership.
We will work with artists to help them create payment plans that work.
