Summer Classes
PHOTOGRAPHING ARTWORK USING YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA
June 1st
2:00pm to 5:00pm
Adults 16+
Cost: $60
You've spent hours pouring your heart and soul into a piece of artwork.
What happens when you try and document it? Your photo is blurry, too
light, too dark, or there's a big white mark where the flash went off.
This class will show students how to use their digital cameras to make
better photos of their artwork. We will cover photographing objects
indoors, outdoors, large, and small. Topics include lighting, do it yourself home studios, cheap lighting
kits, presentation, online editing, digital files, preparing images for
printing, and composition.
Students should have a digital point and shoot camera, their camera's manual, fresh batteries, and an empty memory card.
Brett Beyer is a professional photographer that lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. His most recent work uses low light photography to capture musicians and performers. He has previously taught photography at the Eco Arts center in Taos, New Mexico and the International Center of Photography in New York. His work can be seen at www.brettbeyer.com.
